Kicked to the Curb...

Found on the curb on Wednesday a few blocks from where I am staying, this poor lion appeared to have had a good life... But the circus has left town, and it was time to go out to pasture.
Because New Yorkers put their trash out on the curb (there are no alleys), the most interesting of finds are to be had the evening before trash day. To put this shot into perspective, I have two more (here and here) on my flickr.
(Update: June, 2010) Dear Reader, Life has gotten to be very very busy lately (in a good way) so to retain quality, I have decided to cut back to just a few images a week until September. Meanwhile, I will continue to post on iPhoneography NYC.
